Tor Grøthe is our professional guide in Hemsila. Tor caught his first prize trout using a fly at the tender age of 14, and has been an active fly fisher ever since he was a child. Some of his achievements include competition fishing for several years, and he was Norwegian champion in 1993. Tor has also been individual Norwegian champion in fly fishing twice, and is an authorised fly-cast instructor.

Tor won a development award in 2006 for his commitment to developing trout fishing in the Hemsila river. Such qualifications mean you get the necessary local knowledge to succeed!

To get the best out of your stay at Galten Gård, we recommend you use Per Roar, our local guide and host at the traditional Galten Gård. Per Roar knows the local area and can show you the many hidden treasures you would never have found yourself.

Per has fished the area for many years, and knows where the best fish are to be found. He is a keen fisherman, with first-hand knowledge of the Isterfossen, Galtstrømmen and Galthue areas. You can buy flies and other gear from Per at Galten Gård, and he speaks English and some German.

Tom Erik is our professional guide with Randsfjorden as the basis for his guiding business. Tom Erik offers a variety of different fishing packages for pike, big-char and big-trout in Randsfjorden. Further he also has the ability to guide for the big trout in Mjøsa. He knows the Randsfjorden better than most people and has adapted various fishing techniques and use different areas for the different seasons. We recommend our guests who visit Ringelien Gård and Setton Gård to make use of his local knowledge. It is a fact that a skilled guide provides increased travel quality - also within angeling. Tom Erik has a boat equipped with modern trolling equipment. In addition to trolling fishing, you have the opportunity to be guided where fishingtechniques with jerk-bait and poppers are in focus. The fishing will be adjusted to your needs as well as seasonal and weather conditions.

All packages have fishing- and safety equipment included.

Tore has worked as a guide and fly fishing instructor since 1991, including as a tutor at a college in Hedmark over the last 5 years. He knows Rena and Glomma in Åmot/Elverum extremely well by also works as a guide on the watercourses in Østerdalen and Engerdal.

Tommy Josefsen is Din Tur's local and highly knowledgeable guide for our guests at Steirud Gård. He is 23 years old, but has already become a specialist in brown trout and char in Barduelva, and also guides fishing trips for grayling, seatrout, sea char and salmon. Rivers: Målselva (salmon), Salangselva (seatrout and sea char) and Fjellfroskelva (grayling and trout). Tommy is an acknowledged flyfisher in the sports fishing field, who knows how to look after guests, and will do his best to ensure you enjoy a great fishing experience.

To have a successful stay at Steirud Gård, we recommend using Tommy to get to know the area. Over the last 5 years, Tommy has had between 50-80 fishing days on the river per season! He also works a lot with fly casting - one-handed and two-handed - and can arrange courses if desired.
