The
Norwegian Vestland fjords were crowned as the best tourist
destination in the world in 2006, when National Geographic
convened a panel of 419 experts on sustainable tourism. This 6-day
tour starts in charming Ålesund, and takes you through a
spectacular and picturesque land- and seascape. We paddle along the
majestic Geiranger fjord, a well-deserved UNESCO world heritage
site.

We will be surrounded by towering granite mountains capped by
snow, and quickly appreciate why Geiranger fjord is the most
photographed of them all. Here there are plunging waterfalls,
picturesque mountain farms and small villages arranged as the
perfect photo setting.
This mini-expedition sleeping in tents and eating in the open air
will bring us closer than ever to nature and history. You do not
need much paddling experience to take part in this unusually
beautiful tour as the fjords provide sheltered waters.
During the trip, you will sleep at such historical gems as Yste
Skotet mountain farm (Sunnmøre museum), Storholmen Handelsstad, Me
Åkernes, Syltevik, Blomberg and on uninhabited islands.

not included but can easily be arranged by us. |

Suitable for all experience levels. You must have a keen
attitude and be able to swim. Families are welcome. If you want to
bring your kids please let us know in advance.
