Welcome to a day in the unique western fjord landscape - a
varied and beautiful composition of different types of scenery. We
will paddle around small islets, under steep cliffs, through narrow
channels and the open sea. Historic houses, fishermen's cottages
and old market towns make the trip an historical experience. Small
but thriving coastal settlements such as Kalvåg bring life to the
landscape.

| But people have been living here for centuries, as
can be seen when we pass stone age remains and rock carvings. We
will pass small coastal settlements, such as Kalvåg. We
paddle along beside stone age settlements, the Vingen rock carving
site and Tongane, a well-preserved coastal fort from WWII. Our
international local guides serve excellent and exciting
meals. |
