River paddling is fun and not just for the hotheads. Come
and try the wonderful world of river paddling! This course starts
on calm water and rises in difficulty steadily but safely as your
confidence increases. Experienced instructors provide thorough
training in paddling techniques, survival and rescue techniques and
safe conduct on rivers. Good equipment keeps the cold out, and you
will feel safe all the way.

And best of all - you will paddle in idyllic
surroundings around the centre of Voss. So when the day is over,
you can sit in a café with a big smile on your face, and think "I
need to do this more often!" Day 1: starts on
calm water, where you practice getting in and out of your kayak,
backing, paddle strokes, traversing and basic safety and
gear.
Day 2: Exercises on the things you learned the first day on a
calm grade 2 river. The course is suitable for anyone between the
ages of 16 and 60 who wants a weekend of fun. If you have paddled a
sea kayak, you will probably learn techniques which you can use
later on your own. |
