Burøysund is not far from Torsvåg, a very popular spot for
fishing, but the sound of Burøy is just as good, well sheltered and
the shoals are reachable if you fish with a rod from shore.

the shoals are reachable if you fish with a rod from shore. The
main speices are coalfish and halibut, but due to the tidal
currents many species reside in these waters. If you are up for a
small trip with the boat it is not to far to other ″hot spots″ as
Arnøya and Fugløya.
