Vega has one of the densest populations of eagles in Norway.
We have one of the densest populations of eagles in Norway. Take
a boat-trip out to experience this magnificent bird. Otherwise, we
have Europe″s largest peak cormorant colony. Also one of the
largest colonies of guillemots in the large jetty in ″Skjæsrvør″
and ″Bremstein″ (Two of the fishing villages furthest out in the
ocean at Vega).
At Lånan are about 600 nesting eider duck cupples.
Vega municipality has 6000 islands and reefs, and are quite
varied in nature. So here are much exciting to experience. Perhaps
you will see a moose or two on a swim.
