A 70 hp semi-open boat including sonar/chart plotter system can be hired for the property, and with a little luck there may even be an extra boat available via one of the neighbors ( Orisbrygga or Møst). Depending on wind and weather conditions and depending on the target fish, you can choose whether you want to fish in the sheltered Bremnesfjorden , in the Freifjorden or in the sea area about 5 nautical miles away. While the Bremsnesfjord always makes headlines with catch reports of whiting, the chances of catching large cod and pollock on the edges of the channels in the open sea are more than good. Freifjorden is known for its large shoals of cod in the spring, which are regularly replaced by pollock in July/August. The biodiversity in this area is truly impressive. Especially in the transition from Bremnesfjorden to Freifjorden, we had more than 15 different species "on the line" during trial fishing - even a moderate halibut was there. If you like fishing for pollock and cod, you should try your luck at Veisetgrunnen near Kvernes - a particularly interesting underwater mountain that rises to 20m. A little further out is the beautiful Gjemnessund bridge, where, among other things, long ones in the 10-kilogram class can be expected. All this and much more is offered here in a fantastic landscape with lots of forest, impressive mountain ranges and also countless opportunities apart from fishing, as the cities of Kristiansund, ?lesund and Molde can be reached in a short time. The well-known Trollstigen is just around the corner and the island of Smøla is always worth a visit. And if all this is not enough for you, then take a trip to the fishing village of Grip, approximately 10 nautical miles off the coast.
