At first glance at the map of the area being Korsfjorden usually underestimated. But if you have some understanding about the feeding and migratory behavior of local fish, this shows a fjord with all possibilities. Fishing right off the Korsfjordenn or not far from the pier with light jigs and rubber fish for haddock and cod. Fishing with natural bait near the bottom, at least in the period from April to July can provide decent fishing for catfish and cod.

The absolute highlight, however, is the extremely favorable conditions in Rognsundet and Plateaus right outside for fishing for halibut.

About fishing in Rognsund it is written and said a lot so it should not be repeated here. Rognsundet with their varying depths allow for fishing for all common species in abundance.

The best time for targeted halibut fishing is late autumn. In spring and autumn months are taken many halibut just outside the mouth of Korsfjorden.

Here on a narrow bank to Korsfjord Botn at depths of 20-35 m is actively fishing with shads as Cutbait, Roybet or Storm in between sizes which can provide good catches. Drift Fishing between Eidsnesøyra and Flat Cut also often given good halibut catch. Exit Korsfjorden and turn right then there club reason. The currents causes much fish feed over this land and provide the basis for good fishing for halibut, cod and pollock great summer.

At the end of Korsfjorden by Korsfjordklubben edges down towards the depths are good instances with redfish. The typical size is 2 -3 kg. Far larger specimens 5kg + can you get towards Stjernsundet, at the edges where it falls to well over 400 meters. Best time of day is when it alternates between high and low tide so the power is in the slightest. Use hooks with natural bait.

In summer you can also see some Norwegians trolling for salmon. In Skillefjord river caught salmon between 5 and 8 kg in season - ask your host for more information.
