Fishing boats with chartplotters, which you can safely and specifically set out for the local fishing grounds with, are 400 meters away from the house in the harbor by the ferry quay and are easily accessible on foot. However, you can also park your car at the port. A nice filleting area is only 10 meters from the boats. If your daily catch turns out to be a little more abundant a covered room next to the holiday home is also available for gutting fish. The island location of this destination means you don't have to travel long distances in westerly and southerly winds to fish for cod, pollock, ling, redfish or even halibut. The famous places such as Stortaren or Melsteinen are not far away. The sheltered location of Leka gives the opportunity to fish controlled and successfully in almost all wind directions. Apart from fishing, the nearby beach in Årdal gives a bit of a Mediterranean feeling, and here culture and nature lovers will also get a lot for their money.
